With ease of use in mind, I am working hard to create an app, though I also need to improve my technical skills.
Web apps
Yamada’s Timer
This is a unique timer that combines the best features of an alarm clock and a countdown timer. Originally created to count down the time until class dismissal at school, I added various functions to make it useful for different purposes.
- The set time is stored in parameters, so you can enjoy the intense countdown with friends just by sharing the URL.
- The remaining time is displayed in the browser’s title bar, so you can check it even while doing other work.
- Supports push notifications, so you can use it even in places where sound cannot be played.
- You can change the alarm sound to your liking.
- Can be used offline.
Yamada BINGO
This is a bingo machine that can be used on any device without installation. It’s simple and easy to use, and it even has an automatic save history feature. * The save feature is not supported on some ancient browsers.
It also has a function that allows you to undo your actions if you accidentally press the spin button, so you can deal with the common happenings of bingo tournaments without being confused.
Stopwatch
This is a very simple stopwatch.
To help you focus on your work, I removed anything extra, such as ads.
It also has shortcut keys, so you can start/stop with the “space” key and reset with the “c” key.
Speech-to-text tool
This is an app that allows you to easily transcribe text in your browser.
It is ideal not only for American and British English but also for practicing pronunciation in Japanese.
The transcribed text can also be written to a text file.
It does not work properly on some browsers due to the use of technology that is still in the testing phase. Please use the latest browsers such as Chrome and Edge.
Simple Text Reader
This is a website where you can easily have text read aloud. Simply enter the text you want to read and press Enter, and the text will be read aloud. Because it only has the minimum necessary functions, it is very simple.
Does it look like a certain search engine’s screen? No way…
Snapdrop JP
This is an app that has localized Snapdrop, which allows you to do AirDrop-like things in the browser, into Japanese.
Translating English-specific phrases is difficult, and there are still some unnatural parts, but I will improve it in the future.
Browser extensions
Rename Tab
This is an extension that hides the icon displayed on the browser tab and replaces the website name with another name. It can be used when you don’t want others to see the web page you have open in another tab.
Easy Page Sharing
This is an extension that allows you to copy the title or URL of the page you are viewing and share it on various SNS with simple operations. You can share it immediately with easy steps.
I have made sure that you can install it with peace of mind by not requiring any permissions during installation.
Character Counter
This is an extension that displays the number of characters in real-time when you enter text in a text box on a website. It can be used when there is a character limit in a free-form input field, etc.
Definitely Noto Sans
This is a browser extension that replaces hard-to-read and unattractive (at least according to the author) fonts on websites with the legible and beautiful Noto Sans font.
The author is surprised to see that the number of users has exceeded 1000.
